2007 Summer Art Show
TRATTORIA FRATELLI
John Binkley (1971- ).
I'm an aspiring artist who was born and raised in
central Pennsylvania. The places I have lived are
Lancaster, Hollidaysburg, Hellam, Wrightsville and for
the last 15 years I have lived in Southwest Lebanon
with my wife of 12 years and 5 cats and Daughter Alexis
who was born in March 2005.
There are two things in which I am very passionate
about which are music and art. Growing up I can
remember family trips to the Philadelphia Museum of
Art.
Though I haven't had any formal training I appreciate
good composition and the use of color. I like to
experiment with different techniques, styles and
textures. My current medium which I have been working on since November 2004 is acrylic on canvas with the method of
creating as I go.
In the future I plan on working with bigger canvases and
digital photography in order to expand my
creativity and need for something new and challenging.
My hope for you is to enjoy my art work and find
meaning within yourself of what each piece represents
to you.
